Kinetic Study of CaCO3 Precipitation Accelerated by High Voltage Impulse

Objectives : Determination of reaction order (n) and rate constants (k) the CaCO<sub>3</sub> scale formation that was accelerated by HVI (high voltage impulse) induction.Methods inducted to synthetic solution containing 2.5 mM Ca<sup>2+</sup> ion at different temperatures 25, 40, 60℃. The concentration has been monitored as voltages increased from 0 5, 10, 15 kV. Reaction were determined with experimental dataset vs. time plots.Results Discussion follow two-molecules 2<sup>nd</sup> reaction. constant, k temperature applied increased. 25℃ kV 8.2×10<sup>-3</sup> L/(mmol･hr), which 2.7 times greater than control 25℃, 3.0×10<sup>-3</sup> L/(mmol･hr).Conclusions increased, indicating could be used an alternative desalting technology for control.
